Psychotherapy in Vienna
scientifically sound & humane
Philipp Lioznov, MSc.
Psychotherapist (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Trauma Therapist, EMDR Therapist and Psychologist
It's about you – and what makes you stronger.
I am a psychologist specializing in clinical and health psychology (University of Vienna) and a state-certified psychotherapist specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). For over ten years, I have been supporting people in coping with psychological stress, understanding themselves better, and enabling long-term change.
In recent years, I have specialized in trauma therapy. My work is aimed particularly at people with acute or complex post-traumatic stress disorders, attachment and developmental trauma, as well as stress- and strain-related symptoms that manifest both psychologically and physically.
Scientifically sound. Humanly committed.
I work based on the current state of psychotherapeutic research – with a particular focus on approaches of the so-called “third wave” of behavioral therapy, including:
Schema therapy
Functional-analytical psychotherapy (FAP)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Metacognitive Therapy (MCT)
These modern methods enable individual and in-depth work – going far beyond mere symptom treatment.
Trauma therapy in Vienna – integrative, body-oriented, evidence-based
A central focus of my work is specialized trauma therapy. In recent years, I have completed national and international training and continuing education courses in modern trauma therapy methods and have consistently aligned my clinical practice with this field.
I work with methods including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Ego State Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma Yoga, and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), and I am guided by current neurobiological and body-oriented developments in trauma therapy. This integrative approach makes it possible to address even early, complex, or chronic trauma safely, resourcefully, and sustainably.
Another essential component of my work is the inclusion of the body. Using mindfulness-based, sensorimotor, and body-oriented methods, I support emotional self-regulation, promote a differentiated body awareness, and enable processes of change on a psycho-physical level.
Practical and scientifically linked
In addition to my clinical work, I am the founder of the interdisciplinary practice ANAMNESIS – Center for Mental and Physical Health and conduct research as part of my PhD project at the Sigmund Freud Private University on the topic of loneliness – a profound social and psychological phenomenon.
I am currently accepting new patients. I respond to inquiries promptly, often within a few hours. Appointments are frequently available at short notice. Therapy can be conducted in German, English, or Russian.
